GlossyBox Canada June 2012 Review

Delivery packaging:
GlossyBox Canada June 2012 has been delivered and as usual it comes basically in the last day of the month. At least it's consistent in that sense that delivery time is expected approximately at the end of the month. Unlike the changes in delivery packaging for some of the other beauty boxes, GlossyBox is still being delivered in their signature dark chocolate brown cardboard box with pretty pastel pink GlossyBox logos printed all over it.

Inner packaging:
GlossyBox is still packaging their products within their lovely signature smooth pale pink box with black GlossyBox logo in the centre of the top lid. I love the fact that the box is a pretty good size, where I don't have to worry about the products included being too limited in regards to space and size. As well, with the box itself being quite sturdy and well made, it's totally reusable to store things without worry of it being too flimsy to hold some weight.

Items inside the box:
  1. GlossyBox card: one side has a GlossyBox message to subscribers and the other side gives a description of all products included in the box
  2. Wella Professionals pamphlet: provides information about different styling products and gives direction on how to use the Ocean Spritz hairspray provided
  3. Neutrogena card: advertises Neutrogena sunscreen products
  4. Biore - Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser (full size 130g retail: $9.99) - *FULL SIZE*
  5. Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 55 (full size 88ml retail: $15.99) - 14ml SAMPLE
  6. Wella Professionals - Ocean Spiritz (full size 150ml retail: $16.99) - *FULL SIZE*
  7. Olay - Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex (full size 50ml retail $30.99) - 7ml / 0.23 fl. oz. SAMPLE

Ending box packaging:
As per the norm, GlossyBox Canada June 2012 ends with the box being filled with black crinkled paper strips, black matte tissue paper and a pretty blush pink ribbon. We are able to see upon emptying the GlossyBox that the inside of the box is just as pretty as its outside.

What I Thought:
I'm glad that they finally did something about the missing product from my April 2012 Glossybox. After I had emailed them in April in regards to the missing product, they acknowledged it and not much else happened so I just waited for the May Glossybox, assuming that they might include it in there. When I did receive my May 2012 Glossybox and where to my dismay they had not included anything in regards to the missing product, I had to contact them again and this time their customer service was great. There was definitely acknowledgement and communication this time around and they had made sure to confirm that either the exact same missing product or a substitute would be included in the box, unless the substitute was too big for it than it would be shipped separately. Luckily for me, everything went smoothly this time around and it was the exact product (Marcelle Xtension Plus Mascara) that was missing from my April 2012 Glossybox that was included in this one.

While this June 2012 Glossybox is pretty good on quantity of products, I find that it contains more drugstore brands rather than the more luxury brands that it normally contains. The only one that I would say is the pricier brand is probably the Wella Professionals since it's a professional salon brand. Otherwise, the other products included is good, though truthfully I keep receiving this exact same sample of the Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex from previous other beauty boxes (Luxe Box Janaury 2012 Review and Luxe Box May 2012 Review). Normally I don't mind receiving duplicates if they are a little different, such as same nail polish brand but different colour but when it's the exact same product and if it's a product that's not really relevant to me, this is when I get a bit disappointed. Though, really I can't complain too much since this is the first time that Glossybox has provided this particular sample. I'm not saying this product isn't good, it's just that since it's not relevant to my issues, the benefits are lost on me.
