Topbox June 2012 Review

Delivery packaging:
Topbox June 2012 is the second box to arrive for the month of June. The delivery packaging has not changed for Topbox. It is still being delivered by CanadaPost with tracking and arrives in the familiar Topbox cylinder tube shape. What I do like about Topbox is that they allow you to choose each month whether to receive their original standard design or their eco-friendly design. For me, I usually just choose the eco-friendly brown version since it's the tube itself that I care for, not too picky on the design.

Items inside the box:
  1. Topbox card: lists and gives description of all products included
  2. Topbox Bonus card: explains that bonus product is included that is found at your local drugstore
  3. Pari Beauty card: gives information and how to use Precious Glow
  4. Pari Beauty - Precious Glow eye shadow primer and/or intensifier (full size 10ml retail: $15.00) - unspecified amount "approx. size of a sample mascara, normally 3.5ml / 0.12 fl. oz." SAMPLE

What I Thought:
Prior to shipping out each month's boxes, Topbox normally has a feedback survey that is to be completed by subscribers so that it allows for them to customize one product to the subscribers profile and feedback, as well as packaging. For the month of June, Topbox had given subscribers an option to choose between either a face cleanser or shave gel by Bread&Butter Skincare. As you can tell, I chose the face cleanser so that product was to be expected. I actually like being able to have the control of choosing one of the products in the box. Although I enjoy the surprise of the boxes, sometimes I find it a bit risky so by having the ability to choose at least one of the products in the box guarantees that I'm prepared and I get to choose something that's I like and that's more useful to me.

I like that this tube had included a bit of everything. A mixture of haircare, skincare and makeup is always nice. I don't really have many eye shadow primers since I'm a bit lazy with the primer so I'm pretty happy about having the chance to try the Pari Beauty one. The colour seems quite neutral so it definitely seems like it could work with different looks and colours. I love the Stila brand so I'm happy with any products from them. I haven't used any products from the Get Creamed Body line before, but I do like to try different brands of haircare so that worked in my favour. It's nice that even though the Garnier B.B. Cream was a bonus, instead of just 1 individual packet they provide 3 so that you're able to see more results since I find that normally with just 1 small packet you don't always see much difference right away. As for the bonus Simple Eye Makeup Remover that was included, I had actually just received the exact same product in my Glossybox Canada May 2012 box, though one can never have too many eye makeup remover, especially travel size ones. =)

Overall, this June 2012 Topbox is pretty good. A few new brands to try out, not amazing like last month's May Topbox but it's still got a nice mixture of things that I'm sure i'll enjoy using!
